Luke Winslow-King Announces US Tour & Releases New Single ‘Love At First Sight’

Out Everywhere via Ghost River Records Friday, February 18, 2022

Luke Winslow King has released a third single, ‘Love at First Sight', from his upcoming seventh full-length album “If These Walls Could Talk.” The song features legendary organist Rev. Charles Hodges of Al Green’s legendary band.

The guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer has crafted a love song that is equal-parts nostalgic, romantic, and energetic. ’Love at First Sight’ depicts a well known sentiment through the new and approachable lens. Like much of Winslow-King’s work, the song combines elements of soul, blues, traditional jazz, and roots rock & roll while celebrating the old love songs we cherish, charting new territory into lush and vivid musical landscapes.

The lyrics are playful, innocent, and classic.

” Just like a story, in a book

One moment lord, is all it took

When I first laid eyes on you, I came to understand

You’re my woman, I long to be your man

‘Love at First Sight,’’ is the third single  from Winslow-King's upcoming album, following the release of ‘Slow Sunday June’ and ‘Lissa’s Song.’ As a whole, Winslow-King’s upcoming new album solidifies his ability to mold his surroundings and influences into a unified sound that is uniquely his own; rustic while elegant, bitter but sweet, soulful, inclusive, and comforting. His artistry blends contemporary ideas with styles from bygone eras, producing a sound that is both familiar and original.

King will begin his Spring/Summer tour in Florida on May 13, then route up through the midwest and back down throughout the southeast (see below). Additional dates are forthcoming.

Luke Winslow-King’s seventh full-length album “If These Walls Could Talk” is slated to be released on May 6, 2022 on Memphis label Ghost River Records and will continue to propel rugged roots to the vanguard of modern artistic sensibility.
